Bullying

BULLYING  is when someone DELIBERATELY and  REPEATEDLY

use WORDS or ACTIONS to cause PHYSICAL or

MENTAL harm.  The abuse can be DIRECT or

INDIRECT and makes it difficult for the victim to

defend him/herself.  It is Unwanted purposeful gestures or written, verbal, graphic or physical actions meant to demean, intimidate, threaten, insult, abuse, or dehumanize an individual.

 

Types of Bullying

 

  • Hurtful name-calling

  • Teasing

  • Gossiping

  • Making threats

Nonverbal

  • Posturing

  • Gang signs

  • Leering

  • Stalking

  • Exhibiting  inappropriate behavior gestures and action

Suicide

Suicide is where a person wants to end his/her own life. It is sometimes a way for people to escape pain or suffering. When someone ends their own life.  Sometime it can be a  A "suicide attempt" meaning that someone is trying to end their life, but did not die.  Also these individuals feels trapped and cannot handle the pain

Anger Management 

When I deal with Anger I  know that it is a natural emotion which may arise from missed expectations. The emotion anger can be expressed as problematic aggression, so I work at keeping them from exploding.  When people are anger the emotion is at an all time high and they feel helpless   As a counselor my job is to help depress those emotions so they can see clear what’s happening.

Marriage Counseling

When couples are experiencing issues in their marriage because they can’t agree.  Communication has to be one of the area where I start.  The goal will be to get them loving each other again, being friends.  Because of the busy lives that a couple may face taking time out to discuss issues that may be causing a lack of trust.  I will deal with issues of finance, intimacy, affection, blended family, regaining joy and happiness.  Another goal will be to stop hurting one another, issue of raising kids and other topics that plague the relationship.

Career Development

I am able to help individuals with career inventory and personality testing.  Finding a career can be very challenging.

My Approach

My approach is warm, friendly approachable and transparent.  I strongly believe in helping others with their goals. 

 

I  will continue to take professional development training offered by professionals in my field of counseling so that I may build my skills.
